Just over one week to go...

Ok as promised to you all I have now offically started my travel blog! With just over one week to go we have a plan forming (still with some gaps but hey thats part of the fun!).

We (Myself Mike & Caroline being the "Hardcore" travelers are going for the whole 6 weeks) with more people joining us along the way... will be departing from Heathrow next monday morning - leaving Bath at the delightful hour of 3am I think! As you can see Mike is already ready to go!

The plan (so far!) is looking like so:
- Toronto
- Niagra Falls
- New York (with a lovely 11 hour train ride to make it here!)
- Boston
- Philadephia
- Washington.

Then we are taking internal flight to Vegas, from here we then hire a car for 10 days to visit as many national parks as possible! So far this is including plans for:

- Grand Canyon
- Monument Valley
- Natural Bridges
- Glen Canyon
- Arches
- Capitol Reef
- Bryce Canyon
- Zion
- Valley of Fire

We then go back to Vegas before moving onto LA, next stop is San Diego then back to LA (this time staying by the beach - i'll be in well need of a rest by this point!). We then hire another car to drive up the coastal route to Santa Cruise. Next stop will be Yosemite park and then finally ending up in San Francisco (we also have tickets booked for Alcatraz). We leave San Francisco on 11th (Aug) and get back to UK on the morning of the 12th.

I'm hoping to get internet in most hostels so will try my best to keep this updated - I'm sure there will be many rather random/amusing stories along the way!

PLEASE post comments for any more suggestions! We have booked all hostels for the East coast but any suggestions for national parks or recommended walks etc would be highly apprecaited!
